The third annual Party for the Parks — Amusement on the Avenue, a street-festival style event benefiting the Charleston Parks Conservancy, is set for 6-10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 on Ashley Avenue overlooking Colonial Lake in downtown Charleston.  Attendees will enjoy local food, an open bar, live music, performers and silent and live auctions.

The evening will open with music from folk/rock band Coffee. Before sunset, aerialist Lila will dance in her silks to the reggae rhythm of The Dubplates. As night falls, DJ Jerry Tiller and a laser show will electrify the dance floor, and Homespun Hoops will do a lakeside fire performance.

Guests will enjoy food from local restaurants, including Amen Street Fish and Raw Bar, La Fourchette, Muse, Nick’s Bar-B-Q, Oak Steakhouse and Osteria La Bottiglia. Guests can sip a cappuccino from Royal Cup and savor sweets from the Charleston Cookie Company, Cupcake, Glazed and Paolo’s Gelato. The full bar will feature a specialty cocktail from 44 North Vodka. The silent auction will be from 6-8:30 p.m. and the live auction starts at 8:45 p.m.

Tickets are $55 in advance and $75 at the door. A VIP ticket is available for $150 and includes a $100 donation to the Charleston Parks Conservancy with member benefits and access to the VIP party area with lounge, private bar and food by Magnolias, Blossom and Cypress restaurants.
