Notes from August 12’s event…

“This month Baker Motor Company’s Jaguar West Ashley dealership will showcase a three-vehicle Jaguar display. The display will include a 2012 Jaguar XKR convertible, a 2012 Jaguar XJL and a 2012 Jaguar XF. Look for the beautiful and exciting Jags at Wentworth and King Street.

WCSC TV will be there promoting fitness with representatives from Lighten Up Charleston.

Leaf Cafe + Bar will serve their usual, and fabulous, brunch. There will be Kegs and Eggs at Mellow Mushroom, Firefly Sweet Tea Fresh Squeezed Lemonade cocktails at Nick’s Pink Pig Barbecue, that crazy good Lemon Chicken at Old Towne, Bottomless Mimosas at Il Cortile del Re

Anna Allen will sign her book Diamond Del’s Search for the Crown Jewels at the Silver Puffin. Rick Reinert and Kevin LePrince will paint in front of their studio at 179 King Street. Margaret Middleton Rivers Eastman will sign her new book Hidden History of Civil War Charleston 1-3pm at the Preservation Society Book and Gift Shop.

At the 2nd Sunday Information TentKen Burger will be on hand to sign his books and provide free parking vouchers (downloadable online at  www.2ndsundayonkingstreet.com). Volunteers from Chase After a Cure will also pitch in at the Information Tent, Chase promotes Childhood Cancer Awareness.

2nd Sunday Musicians will be on the street to provide entertainment. Look for perennial favorite Michael Lindsey at the Information Tent.Come to August’s 2nd Sunday. It might be hot in Charleston, but it’s cool on King Street. See you there!”
